TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX RECIPES
TEAYS VALLEY CINNAMON ROLLS3 CUPS TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 1/2 CUPS MILK 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR 1 TSP VANILLA 1 STICK MELTED BUTTER CINNAMON ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine biscuit mix, milk and vanilla; mix until dough ball is formed. Place dough ball on lightly floured surface, sprinkle with a light coat of flour, to prevent sticking. Flatten dough into a shape of large circle. Cover top of dough with sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a pinwheel. Cut approximately 1" pieces. Place on greased pan. Pour melted butter over the rolls. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove and cover with glaze. GLAZE:: 1 Box of powdered Sugar *follow directions of back of sugar |

PACKAGE OF SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE 1 LARGE ONION FINELY CHOPPED 1 CUP GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE 1 (8OZ) TUB SOUR CREAM 1 1/2 CUPS MILK OR BUTTERMILK 3 EGGS, BEATEN ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13" pan. In skillet cook sausage, stirring frequently, until brown; drain. Sausage should be the size of large peas. In bowl mix sausage and remianing ingredients; spread evenly in pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until golden brown. cool five minutes and cut into squares. |
TEAYS VALLEY PANCAKES1 BAG TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 2 1/2 QUARTS MILK 3 EGGS 4 TEASPOONS VANILLA 1/4 CUP SUGAR (OPTIONAL) ::Directions:: In a large bowl combine on bag of Teays Valley Biscuit Mix with all the ingredients. Stir thoroughly until batter is formed. Heat a lightly greased griddle or frying pan on low to medium heat. Our batter on griddle or in frying pan using a 2oz. ladle or spoon. Cook until edges are dry and air holes form on surface. Turn pancakes and cook 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until golden brown. |
MIXED UP COOKIES1 1/4 CUP TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 (3 OZ) PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE 1/2 CUP BUTTER 1/4 CUP SHORTENING 3/4 CUP SUGAR 1 EGG 2 TSP VANILLA 1 1/2 CUP PECAN PIECES 6 OZ. CHOCOLATE CHIPS (SEMI-SWEET) 8 OZ. REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER PIECES ::Directions:: Mix cream cheese, butter, shortening and sugar together. Beat egg and vanilla and add to creamed mixture. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Add chocolate chips and Reese pieces. Mix well. Using a teaspoon, spoon drop onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-11 minutes at 350 degrees. |
CHEESE GARLIC BISCUITS1 BAG TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE 1 TSP GARLIC POWDER 1 1/2 CUPS MILK OR BUTTERMILK ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine biscuit mix, cheese and garlic powder; mix well. Add the milk and mix with a large spoon until the dough ball is formed. Place dough ball on floured surface and knead gently; roll out to desired thickness with a floured rolling pin; cut with a floured biscuit cutter and place biscuit on a lightly greased baking pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. After removing biscuits from oven, brush on garlic topping on top of biscuits. **GARLIC TOPPING** 1/2 STICK BUTTER 3 TSP GARLIC 3 TSP PARSLEY In a seperate container; melt butter; stir in garlic and parsley. |
PIGS IN A BLANKET2 CUPS TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 CUP BUTTERMILK OR MILK 1 PACKAGE HOT DOG WIENERS AMERICAN CHEESE (OPTIONAL) ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 400-425 degrees. Mix biscuit mix with buttermilk or milk to form dough. put onto a surface that has been sprinkled with Teays Valley Biscuit Mix, sprinkle more of the mix on top of the dough. Press dough to about 1/4" thickness. Using a knife (or pizza cutter), cut dough in about 1" wide pieces (they should be about 6" long). Roll a wiener and 1/4 slice of cheese in each piece of dough and place on a greased baking pan about 1" apart. Place in oven and bake 12-14 minutes until brown. |

CHOCOLATE CAKE1 BOX TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 2 CUPS SUGAR 1 STICK BUTTER 1 CUP STRONG COFFEE OR WATER 1/4 CUP DARK, UNSWEETENED COCOA 1/2 CUP BUTTERMILK 2 EGGS 1 TSP VANILLA ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix Teays Valley Biscuit Mix and sugar in a bowl. In sauce pan, combine butter, coffee or water and cocoa. Bring to a boil while stirring. Pour over biscuit mix and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into a well greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool. ::FROSTING:: 1 STICK BUTTER 2 TSP DARK COCOA 1/4 CUP MILK 3 1/2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR 1 TSP VANILLA In a suace pan combine the butter, cocoa and milk. Heat to boiling. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth using hand mixes on mix. Spread over cake top. |
HUNGRY MAN CASSEROLE1 BOX TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 POUND GROUND BEEF 1 (16 OUNCE) CAN PORK AND BEANS 3/4 CUP BARBECUE SAUCE 1 TBS MINCED ONION 1 1/3 CUPS BUTTERMILK OR MILK (FOR BISCUITS) 1 (4 OUNCE) PACKAGE SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE (OPTIONAL) ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown beef and drain excess fat. Stir in salt, beans, barbecue sauce and onion; heat until bubble. Pour into a 2-quart casserole dish. Prepare Teays Valley Biscuit Mix as directed on the back of the box, using the 1 1/3 cup milk. Cut biscuits you have made in half and place them cut side down (with rounded side up) around edge of casserole on bean mixture. Sprinkle cheese, on meat mixture and biscuits. Bake for 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. |
TEAYS VALLEY CINNAMON RAISIN MUFFINS1 BOX TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 1/2 CUPS MILK 2 EGGS 1 TSP IMITATION VANILLA FLAVOR 3 TSP GROUND CINNAMON 2 CUPS RAISINS 1 CUP SUGAR ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Using a wire whip blend milk, eggs, vanilla flavor, cinnamon and sugar. Add raisins and biscuit mix. Mix with large spoon or spatula until fully mixed. Scoop or spoon batter into greased muffin pan. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. ::TOPPING:: Follow frosting directions on confections sugar box. ***For BLUEBERRY MUFFINS - omit cinnamon and add BLUEBERRIES in place of raisins*** |
SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE4 CUPS MASHED YAMS 1 TSP VANILLA 2 EGGS WELL BEATEN 1 CUP SUGAR 1/2 CUP MELTED BUTTER 2 TSP CINNAMON ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine above ingredients and mix well; pour into 13x9x2" baking dish. ::TOPPING:: 1 CUP TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR 1/2 CUP MELTED MARGARINE 1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS Mix sugar, margarine, and nuts until crumble; gradually stir in Teays Valley Biscuit Mix. Sprinkle over the yams mixture. Bake for 30 minutes of until golden brown. |
MONKEY BREAD3 CUPS TEAYS VALLEY BISCUIT MIX 1 STICK MARGARINE 1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS 1 1/2 CUPS BUTTERMILK 3 TBL CINNAMON 2 CUPS SUGAR ::Directions:: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease, bunt pan and sprinkle pecans on bottom of pan; in large bowl, combine Teays Valley Biscuit Mix and milk together; drop mixture by rounded teaspoon over pecans; combine sugar, butter and cinnamon together in saucepan; bring to boil; pour over mixture in bunt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let sit in pan for 5 minutes after taking out of oven and then turn pan upside down on place and remove pan. |
